First of all, I’d like to mention that this is a paid review, order by Autotropolis.com through ReviewMe. However, even if paid, the opinions presented here are all mine. So here it goes.
The main subject of this review is Autotropolis’ Vehicle Selector Aid service. What does this service do? As it’s name says, it helps you find the most appropriate new car for you. They claim that this is “the internet’s first application to help you find New Cars based on your needs and wants, not just price and style!”. So let’s see if they are right. I’ll try to find myself a new car. On the first step you have to select your lifestyle (you can make only one selection, from 18 possible).

I am young and would like to show off a little, so I chose Flash&Style and went to the next step. Here I can adjust my criteria depending on my needs. By default, depending on the lifestyle selected at Step 1 you get 5 categories, but you have an option of adding/removing categories(from a total of 14). I chose: Style - Stylish, Fit & Finish - Decent; Electronics - Well Optioned; Performance - Pretty Fast and Driveability - Good. I know I don’t have a lot of money so I tried to be realistic in the choices.

Below you already have cars selected after your criteria, but you also have another section where you can select the price range. I chose between $10,000 and $15,000. From here you can also select what type of body style you want, I chose Coupe/Compact and Sport/Convertible. Because the suggestion section updates every time you check/uncheck a body style, this is annoying because it takes a little time.

And here are the results. Pretty good I might say and they offered my a choice I would really love, the Pontiac G5. And the other choices are pretty good, except for the Toyota Yaris, I don’t know what’s it doing there.

One other interesting thing is that if you click on the car’s name, you go to a detail page where you have all sorts of info, starting from 360 degrees interior and exterior views, car’s specs, features and you can also compare it to other cars, get a pricing depending on the features you select and, of course, find a Dealership for you.
So, overall, the Vehicle Selector Aid from Autotropolis is a pretty good tool for those trying to find a new car based on their lifestyle, needs and budget. The functionality of the tool is pretty good (except for the body style selection which slows it down a little) and the result are almost excellent(again, I don’t see Toyota Yaris in my target vehicles).
