Michael Schumacher Speeding Ticket

See that dude in the pink t-shirt standing by the police car? That’s Michael Schumacher. The former F1 pilot was caught speeding near Karpen, Germany recently and it seems that he had lost its touch. After some time ago we told you about him crashing a Ferrari prototype and with rumors going around about him being involved in a Fiat incident, now he was caught doing 140 km/h (87 mph) in a 100 (62 mph) zone in an Audi A4 Cabrio. Considering his speed, his license should’ve been suspended, but yeah, he’s Michael Schumacher and he only got a 3 points penalty and a €75 fine. Michael, who ironically is a member of the Commission for Global Road Safety, said: “I’m very sorry, this is something not in my character. Driving fast should only be done on a track.”

McLaren F1 driver, Lewis Hamilton, was caught speeding on a highway in France. The 22 year old British driver was caught doing 122 mph (196km/h), that’s 37 mph more than the legal speed limit in France, which is 80 mph (130km/h). Hamilton had his Mercedes town away, got a one month ban from France, plus he had to pay a 600 euro (£430) fine. However, the French policemen told the press that Lewis was “co-operative and courteous”.

27 year old German dies in Audi R8 crash

Audi R8 Crash

In the past, we’ve showed you a couple of other Audi R8 accidents (it seems like this car was made to be crashed). But, if in the other crashes case we felt really sorry only for the car, this time, things went really bad for the driver also. Because the 27 yo German guy who owned this R8 and crashed it on a highway in Germany didn’t make it alive.

According to police reports, the driver was speeding in heavy rain, lost control of the car and smashed it into the guard rail. The young man wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and the paramedics couldn’t do anything for him; he was pronounced dead at the scene. I feel really bad for him and his family and I think this should really make other supercar owners think twice before pushing the gas pedal a little more than they should. I mean, I understand, the sensation is unique, but is this really worth your life? What do you think? Please drop a comment here.

Milan Baros Car Speed

Czech soccer player, Milan Baros, risks getting a big fine plus losing his driver’s license, after being caught by the French police doing 168 mph (271 km/h) near the city of Lyon. Baros, which now plays for Olympique Lyon (also played Liverpool and Aston Villa in the past) and drove a Ferrari, set a new high speed record on the streets in France, with 14 mph more than the previous record (a motorcyclist was caught, in 2000, doing 248 km/h or 154 mph).
