Remember Project Kahn’s Cosworth 300 tuning program for the Range Rover Sport? It’s the first package released since British tuner Project Kahn and Cosworth started their partnership, back in April. And you might say that in the current economic times, a tuning program for an SUV won’t be that successful. However, you forget that there’s a place in this world where money’s not an issue at all, the Middle East. The Saudi Royal Family has just placed an order for 80 vehicles, which, considering that a fully customized one (we can’t imagine Saudi royalty ordering anything else) costs £122,226 (around $200,000), that’s quite a jump start for Afzal Kahn’s project. A spokesman for the Saudi Royal family said that the 80 vehicles were bought for “members of the family because Cosworth is back on the streets and we wanted the cars before anybody else.”

Cosworth and UK tuner Project Kahn have developed a special version of the Range Rover Sport, which will be on display at the MPH show. The program features a new body kit, with a new front spoiler, Cosworth handcrafted mesh front grille and side vents, new side sills, side steps, stainless steel side bars, new rear roof spoiler, a Cosworth rear valance and a lower boot spoiler. The interior also received a lot of goodies, like blue illuminated instrument dials, stainless steel door sill plates engraved with Cosworth logo, perforated Nappa leather all over the place, perforated gear knob and Cosworth leather or Alcantara hand stitched steering wheel.

Mechanical upgrades include a Cosworth 300 kit, with carbon fiber engine cover, new stainless steel exhaust silencer and 22 inch multi-spoke wheels. The customization will set you back £70,000 (around $116,000) with your car, while for a fully customized vehicle with every option installed you have to pay £122,226 (around $200,000).

Land Rover announced that the Range Rover will get a new exclusive trim level, called ‘Autobiography’. This line will feature more wood and leather that ever before. Also, the leather will be minimally processed, leaving it to age over time. Talk about an ever changing car interior…The leather will be present not only on the seats, but also on the steering wheel, facia, door casings, door bins, the center console and even on the edge of the floor mats. Besides this, you can choose the new 20 inch diamond wheels and whole new range of colors.

So how much is all this fun going to cost you ? The prices are said to start around £72,995 for the TDV8 and £76,495 for the supercharged version. And you have until July 22nd to save the money, because the Range Rover “Autobiography” will debut at the British Motor Show in London.

Remember the Range Rover Sport teaser photo we presented some time ago? Well, we don’t have anything new on that, though we’d love to see that, but we have something that makes us dream of that, the Range Rover Sport Coupe, created by LSE Design. The UK tuner will make 100 of these beauties, each priced at around $200,000 (that’s about 135,285 Euro or £96,900). I wouldn’t say it’s too much, I would probably buy it right away, if I’d had the money. But I’ll just have to wait a little more.

So, what to you get for your 200 grands? Well, you get a modified engine which develops over 500 hp, a complete carbon fiber body with a panoramic roof made out of glass, LED lights all over the exterior and, hang on to something, diamonds placed in the speedometer at 10 MPH increments. Land Rover North America announced that, starting this month, a Land Rover Sport Limited Edition will be offered to its customers. With only 250 units available and with a price tag of $81,450, the car will be powered by Land Rover’s supercharged 4.2 liter V8 engine and will have new front and rear bumpers, an extended rear roof spoiler, body-colored lower side panels, tread strips and 20-inch wheels.

Also, the interior package features a cold climate option, adaptive front lighting, adaptive cruise control, premium leather seats, hand-polished oak trim and a center console cooler box, as well as carpet mats and a rear-seat entertainment system.
