Audi St Anton Ski Resort

To mark the launch of the alliance between Audi and the Austrian ski resort St. Anton, three Audi Q7 models were presented to resort’s representatives: “We are very much looking forward to cooperating together, and hope to inspire our visitors with our common passion for winter sport,” remarks tourism board director Martin Ebster. The Audi models will in future form the official St. Anton fleet that will take the town’s representatives to trade shows and accompany them at local crowd-pulling events. In return, St. Anton will strengthen Audi’s presence in the province with advertising space as well as an interactive installation in the heart of the town.

Over the coming months, community and sponsor have a host of events in store. There is the “Legends on the Arlberg” series, for example, in which celebrities whose roots are in St. Anton will meet key figures from Audi’s past. This will include the proprietor of the “Arlberg Hospiz” and hotelier extraordinaire Adi Werner encountering with Audi motor racing legend Hans-Joachim Stuck.

“St. Anton is a winter sports mecca that attracts visitors from all over the world. The World Cup races clearly demonstrated the immense passion for the sport that is shared by Audi and the people of St. Anton,” explains Peter Schwarzenbauer, Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG Marketing and Sales.

So, you all know the Audi Q7, the big German SUV, right? It’s a pretty large car, no question about it. And below is a photo to prove that. But what happens when we take the Q7 to United States? Well, it’s like Gulliver in Giants’ world. Check the other pic to see what I mean. But, what does this mean? Is something wrong with Europe? Are Americans overreacting with their huge trucks? What’s your take?

Audi Q5 Q7 USA

Scared that the its new SUVs will get lost in the 2008 year-end sales blowout, Audi decided to delay the launch of three new SUV models in the United States. These three cars are the brand new Q5, which hasn’t been yet released, plus a hybrid and a diesel version of the popular Audi Q7.

So, the cars will be launched at the beginning of 2009, thus allowing Audi to market them as 2010 models. The Audi Q5, which we don’t really know much about right now will be Audi’s aim at BMW’s X3 and Mercedes Benz’s upcoming GLK. The other models delayed will be a diesel Q7, equipped with a 3.0 liter V6 turbo-diesel engine, developing 230 hp and 400 lb.-ft. of torque and a V6 hybrid Q7, packing 280 hp.

Audi Q7 V12 TDI

Presented at this year’s Detroit Motor Show back in January, Audi is close to launching into production the Audi Q7 V12 TDI. An Audi official revealed that the new V12 monster will hit showrooms in the second half of next year. Developing 500 HP and an impressive 1,000Nm of torque.

The most powerful diesel engine offered in a production car will take the Audi Q7 from 0 to 100 km/h (60 mph) in just 5.5 seconds and to top speed of 250km/h (electronically limited, of course). And you’d expect this beast to eat up a lot of gas, but the engine takes only 11.9L at 100km (20 mpg) and it already meets Euro V emissions standards due in 2010.

Audi Q7 JE Design

The German tuner JE Design announced the release of the AUdi Q7 Widebody. First released last year, with a 3.0 engine, the new edition has a new modified 4.2 liter V8 engine that packs 350 bhp and takes the Audi to a top speed of 243km/h (151mph), and from 0 to 100km/h (60 mph) in 5.6 seconds, which very impressive for a “tiny” 2 tone car.

And the JE Design wide body styling kit definitely makes this car one which will scare you when spotted in the rear mirrors, but hey…that’s the fun. And like the guys at autoblog say, don’t worry, it won’t stay long there. Read More: "AUDI Q7 Widebody tuning by JE Design"
