Today, Lamborghini released a teaser photo of a new car that will be on display at next month’s Paris Motor Show. Unfortunately, this is the entire press release, if we can call it that way:

So, what do you think this will be? If you ask us, judging by that rear look, we’d put our money on a redesigned Murcielago or its replacement. One thing’s for sure, on September 2, the first press day of the French show, we’ll be there and find out what’s all this about.

Last time German tuner Edo Competition messed up with the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, they managed to squeeze 23 hp more from the engine and, with a total of 663 hp, the car clocked 345.7 km/h (214.8 mph) on the test track in Nardo, Italy, which is the highest speed a Lamborghini ever reached. Despite all that, the guys over at Edo weren’t satisifed and decided to give it another upgrade. This time, they managed to increase the power output by 47 hp more, which means that the LP640 by Edo develops an impressive 710 hp and 700 Nm (516 ft-lb).

Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) is done in 3.2 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in under seconds and the estimated top speed is 360 km/h (224 mph). The extra performance was possible through new exhaust headers, new high flow catalytic converters, new mufflers, a new exhaust tip, new performance camshafts, modified cylinder heads and new high flow air filters plus reprogrammed engine controls, plus.

The Dark Knight is the newest installment in the Batman series of movies, which started with Batman Begins in 2005. The main character, Bruce Wayne, and his alter-ego legendary crime fighter, Batman, is a wealthy businessman and his car of choice is none other than the limited edition Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, which is powered by a 640 horsepower 12-cylinder engine and is capable of more than 211 mph.

“The Murcielago LP640 Coupe is a natural choice of car for Bruce Wayne. We are proud to be associated with one of the greatest movies in history”, said Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini CEO. This isn’t the first collaboration between Lamborghini and this series of movie, the prequel, Batman Begins, has also been graced by the appearance of the Murcielago Roadster .

The Dark Knight is right now the best selling movie in the US, based on the sales during the first weekend of release.

The Japanese tuner Premier4509 announced their latest creation, a new body kit for the Lamborghini Murcielago. With only 300 packages available, the body kit will include a new front bumper, new side skirts, a rear bumper made of carbon fiber and fiberglass and an adjustable rear spoiler. Each aero kit will carry a special numbered serial plate and will cost the already lucky Lamborghini owners an extra $28,000 (besides the $300,000 paid for the ‘normal’ car).

Here’s a video from YouTube, of a young dude with a lot more money than brains, who takes his Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 to 219 mph (that’s 352 km/h). That’s impressive, however, on e advice for him: Dude, if you really want to push your car to the limits, go on a track, not on the streets! Because we’d feel sorry if you’d end up like this (not to mention, you could also hurt other innocent people!). Any message for this guy? Leave it here.

According to Autocar, Lamborghini is working on a superlight version of the Murcielago. Seen as a glorious end to its production (the Murcielago is scheduled to get out of production), the Murcielago SV will be about 130 kg lighter than the current LP640 and it seems it will be more powerful than the million Euro Reventon (they talk of about 680 hp for the SV).

So, how the Lmaborghini engineers plan on doing this? Well, the SV will be a RWD model, and the weight difference is made by removing the front differential and driveshaft (40 kilos removed) and more weight will be dropped by using carbon fiber for both the interior and the exterior, new forged alloy wheels, which will also save at least 6 kg. Also, Lamborghini will drop the multimedia system and, to be honest, at how that engine sounds, who needs it?

So you thought those London cabs were fancy? Well you haven’t seen this one. How would you like a ride in this $300,000 Lamborghini Murcielago. With this car going from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of over 200 mph (320 km/h) I think you’d get where you want pretty fast. Wonder how much would cost?

Here’s an interesting find. 50 Cent’s chromed Lamborghini Murcielago is for sale on eBay. The selling description doesn’t disclose whose celebrity the Lambo belongs to, but who else do you know that owns a chromed Lambo? When we wrote this post the highest bid was $225,300.

Edo Competition presented a modified version of the Lamborghini Murcielago, nicknamed LP640. Powered by a 6.5 liter V12 engine that produces 663HP (487.5 kW) at 7.800 rpm (with a peak torque of 675 Nm at 5.600 rpm), the car has a top speed of 348 km/h (216 mph) and goes from o to 100 km/h (mph) in 3.8 seconds.

The exterior add-ons are a new stainless steel exhaust tips, a specially designed rear wing with adjustable lip, custom painted wheels on request.
