Concept Fascination from Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes Benz ConceptFASCINATION

Change is the most describing word for the current and future design line for Mercedes-Benz, after the brave change for the C-Class, the next one set for a new appearance is bigger brother, the E-Class. Already a lot of spyshots and other materials have surfaced, betraying the bold new line the designers have took, but this new concept is rumoured to represent a lot of ideas that will be implemented for the next generation E-Class, in both sedan and the highly anticipated coupe version.

It sure is a nice design, both futuristic and agressive, but you can clearly distinguish an elegance emanating from the bold lines and angles of the car. The exterior is highly personalized by the 2-piece headlights and the extended rear tail lights that give it a certain unique look. On the inside, Mercedes say that a V-shape of the outside is continued on the interior, with a dashboard displaying five tubes and silver dials, and the cabin can hold 4 passengers and their luggage quite easily.

In terms of power, the concept is set to be graced with the presence of new generation fuel-efficient engines, like the BluEfficiency one that will appear on the C250 CDI model, presented earlier today. We will all see the concept live next month at the Paris Motor Show. More photos after the jump. Read More: "Concept Fascination from Mercedes-Benz"

Mercedes Benz C Estate Tuning Kicherer

The guys from Kicherer thought to change the pace, after tuning the SL 63, they targeted the estate version of the Mercedes-Benz C320 4Matic and turned it into this example of performance for the family.

On the exterior, they fitted an AMG bodykit and further enhanced the new agressive look by lowering the suspension and fitting the car with 19-inch wheels with performance tires wrapped around. On the inside, Kicherer added a new speedometer, a new steering wheel which combines leather and wood, and a new two-tone leather trim. Performance-wise, the guys really went all out, squeezing another 41 horses out of the 3 litre V6, taking it to 265 hp and to a torque of 600 Nm. The result ? from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) ony takes 6.7 seconds. Here are the photos of this really nice estate. Read More: "Extravagant Estate: Mercedes-Benz C320 by Kicherer"

Possible preview of the new Mercedes Benz E Class ?

2010 Mercedes Benz E Class Scan

The latest number of german auto magazine AutoBild has a very interesting front page article regarding the new 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, showing it the first time without camouflage. The pictures show quite a different car as oppose to the current generation.

The front side stands out with the new angular head lights, which replace the old round ones, to create a more edgier and agresive look. On the rear, we find new rear lights which split between the trunk lid and sides of the car, and, in my oppinion, remind me of the BMW 3-series rear lights. The boxy angular theme is found also in the interior, which according to Mercedes, is supposed to remind clients of the 80’s era cars. The new Mercedes Benz E-Class is set to be presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year.

Until then, enjoy more scans after the jump. Read More: "Possible preview of the new Mercedes Benz E Class ?"

2010 Mercedes Benz E-Class Spy

One of the most expected cars from MercedesBenz, the E-class was spied again. Although under heavy camouflage, we can see that the headlights are not round anymore, and from some of the pictures we can partially distinguish the dashboard. The all new angular dashboard, now includes a huge center display screen (most likely S-class “stolen” from) and also the gear-lever on the steering column was added so that the 2010 E-class will align to the M class, GL and S Class trend.

The business class sedan and station-wagon is due to make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, next year. With a wide selection of engines, diesels and petrol, the E-class is also expected to embrace hybrid technology, start-stop technology to fit into earlier stated plans of the manufacturer.

Video: Jaguar XF does great against its German rivals

Though everyone was impressed with the new Jaguar XF, everyone also agreed that the market it targets is highly competitive, with strong German rivals, such as the Audi A6, the BMW 5 Series and the Mercedes Benz E Class. InsideLine put up the XF against these cars and you’d be amazed by the results. I mean, I like the XF, but didn’t imagine it will be that good. Can’t wait to get my hands on it. One thing that needs to be mentioned is that the Jaguar had the most powerful engine, the 420 hp Supercharged V8.
