It’s not just your ears that you can destroy with sound. Certain frequencies effect different parts of the body; sometimes quite profoundly…
I know of one sound engineer who no longer works in music because he ‘experimented’ with the levels at a concert and in the process helped a few thousand people pee themselves simultaneously!

17,000w is ridicules for any system outside of a professional environment.

People who put these kind of systems in their cars are retarded. I can understand wanting high quality audio, I have a crazy home setup…but it’s a nice clean sounding system, tuned flat so that I can hear what the sound engineer intended me to hear….These systems offer nothing but bass. There’s no clarity, the music is not defined…you don’t hear vocals or notes…it’s just loud bass. The money people spend on these shity sounding systems, and they do sound like shit.
