Ben Silverman, NBC’s co-chairman, announced that NBC has ordered a pilot for an American version of Top Gear. And I must say this is probably a very bad idea. I mean, how can you imagine a Top Gear show without Jeremy, Richard or James? I remember I saw a few episodes of the UK version of “Pimp my ride” and I must say, that guy was awful. So bringing a major show like Top Gear to another country and with other cast well…that’s not Top Gear anymore.

The latest Top Gear episode was awesome, but we’ve already gotten used to that. First, the producers said that they should test more eco-friendly cars so they came with a Daihatsu Materia. However, Jeremy thought the best way to review the Daihatsu was to compare it with a… 625 hp Ascari A10. After that, Stig takes the Ascari for a spin around the track and, incredible, the car went on top of the Power Lap Panel, with an incredible time.

Then we have James May testing the new Fiat 500, by racing a couple of bikers in Liverpool. Unfortunately, due to the tight schedule, there was no news section, which is usually a lot of fun. And we saw British actor, Keith Allen, doing his lap in the Reasonably Priced Car. But the most exciting moment of the show was when Jeremy, James, Richard and, of course, the Stig, entered the 24 hours race at Silverstone with a BMW 3 Series diesel. We actually get to see Jeremy with tears in his eyes. Really impressive! You can see the video of the race here: 1 2 3 4.

Another week, another great episode of one of the best shows on Earth, Top Gear. This week’s episode was very good and it started with Jeremy testing out the Vauxhall VXR8 which makes a really good impression. We also have the regular news section, really funny like always, with a lot of news we’ve also showed you here, on Auto Unleashed. Then we have Jeremy and James trying to “answer a question that has never been asked” and find out which was the first production car to use the “template” all modern cars use (three pedals, handbrake and gear knob in the middle).

After that, we have James Blunt in the Reasonably Priced Car. I especially liked the part where Jeremy talks with James, which I have to admit, even though I’m not a big fan, was quite cool that evening. After that, we saw Richard at the steering wheel of a Renault Formula 1 Car, which is one impressive piece of engineering. And finally, the part everyone was expecting, F1 sensation, Lewis Hamilton came into the studio, talked to Jeremy and then did a very very impressive job with the Suzuki Liana.

Oh and I almost forgot, Jeremy also tested a new technology from BMW, which remembers where you’ve been and then drives you around without you having to do nothing. For those of you who missed this week’s Top Gear episode, you’ll definitely feel sorry, as it was a terrific episode. First they tried to prove that 70’s British cars are not crap, by doing different challenges with a Rover SD1 (Jeremy), a Triumph Dolomite Sprint(Richard) and a Princess 2200 (James). Then, Jeremy took the brilliant Aston Martin DBS for a ride and you can see what he thinks about the car. And we’ve also got Jennifer Saunders doing a really good job in the reasonably priced car. Last night, the National Television Awards ceremony took place in the UK, and Jeremy Clarkson, the Top Gear presenter, won the Special Recognition Award for his ‘unique contribution to television’. Jeremy looked really surprised and we’re glad for him, because he totally deserves it. The award was presented to him by Formula 1 superstar, Lewis Hamilton. Below you can see the award presentation and after the jump you can see another video with Jeremy’s introduction. Congratulations Jeremy!

The latest Top Gear episode is awesome and it’s totally worth it. We have Jeremy Clarkson driving the Ferrari F599 GTB Fiorano, then The Stig takes the same car to see what it can do. But the highlights of the show are, without doubt, Hammond’s race against the eurofighter, in the Bugatti Veyron and the hilarious Clarkson’s drive around London and the BBC headquarters, in the world’s smallest car, the Peel P50. Anyone who heard of Jeremy Clarkson, the producer of the famous British show “Top Gear” knows its passion for powerful cars. Here is a Ford RS Cosworth previously owned by Jeremy, for sale on AutoTrader. The 1993 hatch is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine developing 227 hp and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (100 km/h) in only 5.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 140 mph (226 km/h). What’s interesting that, if the spoiler is removed, the car tops 147 mph (236 km/h), but you do that at your own risk.

The exterior is modified, with a sporty bodykit, huge rear spoiler and 18-inch six spoke alloys, and the interior features full black leather seats, electric windows, CD player and an alarm. The Escort comes with ten months MOT and 72,000 mileage.
