This is the latest creation from the Japanese carmaker, as a response to global warming. After the A-Star Concept’s debut at the New Delhi Auto Expo, the new Suzuki will officially be unveiled in October at the Paris Motor Show. Powered by a 1.0 liter Euro5 engine, the vehicle’s emissions will be only 109g of CO2/km. Assembled at the Suzuki plant in India, the Suzuki Alto will be marketed in Europe, India and other countries, especially if we think that Suzuki officials emphasized on the globally-car design. The first deliveries will begin at the end of this year.

The Suzuki Swift is definitely one of our favorite cars out there and we’re excited every time we get news about it, especially when we see this little guy getting modified. And here’s a tuning program for the Swift, created by HKS. The kit includes front and rear lip, mirror caps, roof spoiler, hood with an aero scoop and a rear door spoiler, all made out of carbon-fibre. In addition to that, HKS also fitted the Swift with 18-inch Advan RC-III alloy wheels. For the customers who want more than a body kit, HKS also offers suspension, brake and chassis upgrades.

Tomorrow, SuzukiMaruti, the Indian branch of Suzuki, will present the new Suzuki Swift DZire, a sedan version of the Swift, which plans to complete some other low cost sedans popular in India, such as the Dacia Logan or the Tata Indigo.

Specially developed for the Indian market, it seems that the base 1.3 liter petrol model (with power steering and air conditioning, but no stereo, for example) will be priced somewhere around Rs 4.5 lakh ($11,000), while the 1.3 liter diesel version will be priced at Rs 5.2 lakh ($12,900).

Suzuki continues its Kizashi concept series with the latest one, the Suzuki Kizashi 3 Concept. And we find Suzuki’s approach with the Kizashi concepts very interesting. Instead of presenting one very futuristic concept and then going straight to a lot less impressive production version, Suzuki chose to unveil these concepts, developed by Suzuki’s Advanced Design Group, one at a time, each one being closer to the final, production-ready version.

After presenting the Kizashi 1 at Frankfurt and the Kizashi 2 at Tokyo, now the Kizashi 3 was unveiled at the New York International Auto Show, which is taking place these days in NY. Not as impressive as the first one, the Kizashi 3 is a sport sedan concept and it previews Suzuki’s upcoming competitor in this market. Like the other two concepts, this one’s front part is very aggressive, emphasized by the impressive headlights.

Built on a four-wheel drive platform with Advanced i-AWD system, the Kizashi 3 is powered by a 3.6-liter DOHC V6 engine which develops an estimated 300 hp and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission (with paddle shifters on the steering wheel).

At the Chicago Auto Show, American Suzuki Motor Corp. introduced the 2009 Suzuki Equator, which is a midsize pickup destined to complete Suzuki’s range of all-terrain vehicles, including motorbikes and ATVs. The Suzuki Equator was developed with Nissan North America (will also be produced at the Nissan plant in Smyrna, Tennesse) and it’s based on the Nissan Frontier.

The engine offer includes a 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine developing 152 hp and 171 lb-ft of torque or a 4.0-liter V6 DOHC engine producing 261 hp with 281 lb-ft of torque. Also, customers will have several transmission choices, including a five-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission (I4 and V6), five-speed manual transmission (I4) or six-speed manual transmission (V6).

The Suzuki Equator will be offered in two styles, Extended Cab and Crew Cab which offer a high-utility bed with spray-on bedliner and an extensive tie-down system with adjustable tracks. The truck also offers a wide range of attachment points for securing cargo (including motorcycles or ATVs) plus a full range of accessories including bed dividers, sliding cargo trays and modular storage units. Crew Cab models will offer an available roof rack.

Today, Suzuki announced what are the cars which will be on display at their stand at the Geneva Motor Show. The main attraction will be the Suzuki A-Star Concept, which debuted at the New Delhi show, at the beginning of this month. The A-Star, which was developed by Suzuki Japan and Maruti Suzuki India, will be the producer’s offer in the small car class.

Also on display will be the impressive Suzuki Kizashi Concept and the Kizashi 2, which debuted at Frankfurt and at the Tokyo Motor Show. These concepts show Suzuki’s vision on the future of sports cars. Sport lovers will also get to see the Suzuki SX4 WRC racing car, which will be Suzuki’s first shot at the World Rally Championship.

We’ll also get to see the Suzuki Splash, aimed at small families and which will go on sale this March. So, a lot of cool cars from Suzuki and we’ll be there, at Geneva, to report for you, between 6 and 16 March.

This is the Suzuki A-Star Concept, developed by Suzuki and its Indian partner Maruti and which will debut at the upcoming auto show in New Delhi, India and after that we’ll be able to see it at the Detroit Auto Show also. The concept previews Suzuki’s new global compact model, which will be named Alto and it will be powered by a newly developed 1.0-liter engine that will comply with the Euro 5 emission standards. Suzuki announced that the car’s production will start in its Manesar plant, in India and sales are scheduled to start in December 2008, in Europe.

He he, we really like this print ad. Created by the Danish advertising agency, “Robert/Boisen & Likeminded”, the ad shows the interior of the Suzuki Swift with the chairs being fitted with a set of roll-coaster style protective bars. As we said, we really like the ad, especially that the Swift is one of our favorites cars out there.

Suzuki, which currently has nothing special, producing small budget cars and compact SUVs, impressed at Frankfurt with their Suzuki Kizashi concept. The new concept is powered by a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder turbodiesel and has all wheel drive. Measuring 4.63 m in length the concept is really aggressive and, completed with the 21 inch wheels it’s a very impressive concept.

It looks like the Kizashi will be the starting point for a future Suzuki model, which is set to debut somewhere around 2010. View more photos after the jump.
