The latest addition to the VW Gol range, the Volkswagen Voyage (or Gol Sedan) was recenty spotted by one of Motortip’s readers in front of Palácio da Alvorada, the Brazilian president’s residence. The car has almost no camo at all, except for some white tape covering the rear lights, so we can get a pretty good idea of how the car will look like. The Voyage will make its debut at the Sao Paulo Motor Show, the largest one in South America, in October. Meanwhile, check out more photos after the jump. GM has tried to be very cautious with its Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid, which is expected to debut in 2010. Some time ago they released a couple of teaser photos, however, the mistery has now been revealed, because one of Transformers Live’s readers managed to get some photos and a video of the Volt on the set of Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. First, he only managed to take a photo where we can see half of the Volt, but then he got a real good look at it and took this video. So, what do you think about the car? Should Toyota fear? I think so, because if it’s as good as it looks, the Volt is definitely going to be a hit for GM.

Damn, this BMW camo sure is funny, looks like a circus show over there. The photos you see here were taken by one of the members of German forum zroadster. While on vacation at Col d’Turini, France, the dude spotted this BMW Z4 fleet undergoing some road tests. Pretty heavy camo on the cars, but the overall profile looks promising. The last version of the Mercedes McLaren SLR supercar, the Speedster, has prooved to be one intesively spied car, partly due to its quite innovative design. All the spy shots culminated with this video of a lap on the Nurburgring, that has been posted on the YouTube channel by german car show Auto Motor und Sport. Enjoy!

We already know that the cabrio version of the Maserati GranTurismo will be available sometime next year, probably by next March, but what what no one knew was that the car will not have a fabric soft-top, but a folding hardtop. At least that’s what we see in these spy photos taken by one of Autogespot’s readers in Modena. No official confirmation from Maserati so far, but we assume that the car will be powered by the same engine from the GranTurismo coupe, the 434 hp 4.7 liter V8. Given the looks of the car, we also expect it to make its world debut at the Paris Motor Show in October.

We’ve seen the new Porsche Panamera in dozens of spy photos, but only the exterior, so we didn’t have any clue on how the interior will be like. Well, now we’ve also got a glimpse on what the passengers will enjoy. And I really think Porsche did a great a job with the car’s interior, which looks great. Even though there are a little too much buttons for my taste, I really like the overall design, including the steering wheel from the facelifted 911. Like the guys over at WorldCarFans say, the navigation system’s display could prove to be a little too low and difficult to read, but I’m sure German engineers thought of that too.

These are the first spy photos of the Audi R8 Targa, without any camouflage. The new Audi R8 Targa is scheduled for official launch in March 2009. There are speculations about the name of the new Audi R8 supercar: Targa, Convertible, Cabrio or Spider. But the most likely name will be Audi R8 Targa, as shown in the planning documents for the next years. About the engine, besides the 4.2 liter FSI powerplant that develops 420HP, we could also see the 5 liter V10 twin turbo engine with 580HP, from the Audi RS6. The new Audi R8 Targa is scheduled for official launch at Geneva Motor Show in March 2009.

One of the most expected cars from MercedesBenz, the E-class was spied again. Although under heavy camouflage, we can see that the headlights are not round anymore, and from some of the pictures we can partially distinguish the dashboard. The all new angular dashboard, now includes a huge center display screen (most likely S-class “stolen” from) and also the gear-lever on the steering column was added so that the 2010 E-class will align to the M class, GL and S Class trend.

The business class sedan and station-wagon is due to make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, next year. With a wide selection of engines, diesels and petrol, the E-class is also expected to embrace hybrid technology, start-stop technology to fit into earlier stated plans of the manufacturer.

The facelifts for the Jaguar XK and XKR are scheduled to be presented at the Paris Motor Show in October. Meanwhile, here are some spy photos of the cars, caught in Mahway, New Jersey, while they were out performing hot weather testing. From what we can see, the cars will feature a new front bumper with restyled air intakes, slightly redesigned rear bumpers and new LED taillights. Besides that, the cars will get stiffened suspension and quicker steering, plus Jaguar’s new drive-select transmission interface.

After the Paris debut, the Jaguar XK and XKR facelifts will go on sale early next year.

The Alfa Romeo 159 is one good looking mid-size sedan, but the Italians have decided that its days will be numbered. According to italian magazine Quattroruote, the model that will replace the 159 is going to be quite revolutionary, taking the famous name Giulia and marking the change in Alfa’s model naming strategy, replacing the numbers with names.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia was quite a car, but Alfa won’t borrow anything else than the name, as the new one will be built on the common platform with Fiat Bravo or Lancia Delta. The influence of the 8C Competizione will reflect on the front end of this car, as it did with the Mi.To. Tehnical details are really scarce, the only thing that is certain is that it will be available with front wheel drive of all wheel drive. The 2010 Chevrolet Cruze global small car is scheduled to debut at this year’s Paris Motor Show in October. Meanwhile, we’ve got this interior photo of the car and we must say that we’re really impressed. The center console looks very ergonomical, while the whole interior looks quality stuff. We noticed the Daewoo badge on the steering wheel, so we assume this will probably be the Nubira replacement.

The Cruze is based on the Delta 2 platform (GM’s first car to use this platform) and is a part of GM’s plans to turn things around after the recent terrible results. The car wants to be an attractive, efficient and affordable car, and will be the starting point for many GM cars replacements like the HHR, the Cobalt and Opel’s Zafira.

Power for the U.S. version is expected to come from a 1.4L turbo four-cylinder that is expected to get a fuel economy of 40 mpg (5.88 litres/100km) on the highway and around 30mpg (7.8L/100km) in city use. The Chevrolet Cruze is scheduled to enter production in the U.S. in mid-2010 as a 2011 model.

BMW is once again spied in the American desert. This time, the target was the new PAS, or V-series or RFK as this model has had different names circulating around it. Hevily masked, there is not much to say about the exterior design. But, we can clarify that we are not talking about a van (R-class competitor) as some rumored, and it is a rather sedan-coupe shape with frameless windows. It could be aimed at Mercedes’s CLS coupe. A final version is set to be unveiled at the 2009 IAA Frankfurt motorshow.

Last week we wrote about the highly anticipated Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport (I’m sure everyone in Dubai started writing checks already) and now we have the first spy photos of the car, caught by autogespot and autojunk readers. The car was in Corsica, probably out for a photoshoot for the official press release and, like we also saw in the first press photos released, there are no major changes, except a subtle redesign of the frontlights.

Like we said in the previous post, the convertible Veyron will make it’s debut at during the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California, on August 16.

The Mercedes Benz SLR being discontinued next year and this will also mark the end of the cooperation between Mercedes and McLaren. The German company’s replacement for the SLR will be the Mercedes Benz SLC gullwing, which will be developed by Mercedes and AMG. Scheduled to debut at next year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the Mercedes SLC was recently caught testing. Though heavily camouflaged, we do have some clues on the SLC’s final appearance, with the long hood, truncated rear cabin and short rear deck highlighting the design. An adjustable rear spoiler is also present, although the final design will almost certainly change before production.

Latest rumors say that SLC won’t be in the same class as the SLR, but closer to the SL63 AMG and the final price will be somewhere around €150,000 ($234,000). The sports car will be powered by AMG’s 6.2 liter V8 engine which is expected to develop around 580 hp (433 kW) and which is mounted up front but behind the front axle, for better weight distribution. The SLC will weight around 1,650kg and the expected performances are: 0 to 100km/h (62 mph) sprint in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 315 km/h (195 mph).

After the Frankfurt debut next year, the first deliveries will start in mid 2010 and Mercedes expects to sell between 3,000 and 5,000 units per year.

We all know the Toyota Prius, it’s the most popular hybrid car out there, having conquered almost everyone with it’s eco-friendly nature, being the car to have if you want to help the planet. One thing though has received mixed oppinions, the design, people saying very different things about the exterior of the car.

Recently some spy shots appeared of a presumed facelift to the Prius, but it would now seem that it wasn’t just a facelift, Toyota planning a totaly new body for their top notch hybrid. Although there have been talks about the new generation of the Prius, even a launch date of January 2009 at the Detroit MotorShow being fronted, new rumours state that this new model will be available around 2010.

This new model will be wider and longer, leaving more space for the passengers in the back and for the trunk. This new space would ultimately be used to develop more vehicles based on this new Prius, and according to Jim Lentz, Toyota USA President, we might see body versions from 2-door coupe to wagon or commuter car. But the design hasn’t been the only thing that Toyota engineers have taken care of, the fuel economy is expected to improve, so is the top speed. Also the NiMh batteries which now power the Prius will be replaced by lighter and smaller Li-ion ones in the effort to increase storage space.
