In a preview of the Frankfurt Motor Show, Maserati announced the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S, which will be a more exclusive version of their 4-door coupe currently in production, the Quattroporte. The Sport GT S version will have the same 400 hp engine, but it’ll be lowered by 10mm in the front and 25mm in the back, plus new aluminum and iron brakes that were co-developed with Brembo.

Cosmetic upgrades include a black-chrome mesh grille, black side window trims, two double exhaust pipes, dark chrome 20″ seven spoke alloy wheels with Pirelli tires and Alcantara leather insertions into the seats, door panels and steering wheel. Plus, the front seats are more sportier and the dashboard will get carbon fiber and aluminum inserts.

Here’s an interesting one. British millionaire Bertrand Des Pallieres, had his £80,000 ($158,600) limited edition Maserati GranSport towed by the police due to 65 congestion charge penalties and dozens of parking fines, in late May. Because the charge was £25 and the dude forgot to pick it up, the bill got to £5,000 ($9,900) so the police got the car out for auction.

Here’s what the dude said: “The truth is I was so busy I did not have time to deal with sorting the congestion charges, paying my road tax and getting my car out of the pound. When I left my previous job at Deutsche Bank, I lost my PA. She had always organised all of these domestic things for me. For a while I did not have a PA but now I have one, so this will get sorted out.”

Now I don’t know about you, but I would definitely look after my car if it was a limited edition Maserati and that;s why I think it’s better that the car will get a new owner, because this man…he doesn’t deserve it.
