Truck full of new Ford Ka’s burns in Poland

Ford Ka Burn Poland

Well, it looks like the new Ford Ka is off to an awful start. As you can see from the image, a truck carrying about a dozen cars (at least that’s how many we counted) burst into flames yesterday afternoon, on a road in Poland, near the Tychy plant, where the little fellow from Ford is built, alongside another small car, the Fiat 500. The cause of the accident is not known, but considering that almost all of the cars were completely destroyed, something definitely went very bad. More photos after the jump. Porsche Damage Train Wreck

Usually a train wreck is an awful accident. But how about a train wreck that damages at least 20 brand new Porsches 997? A pain to watch for every petrol head, I’m sure. Fortunately, no lifes were lost in this trains collision that happened last Wednesday outside Dillenberg, Germany. Not to mention that one of the trains was carrying tanker with flammable liquids, so a real tragedy could’ve happened. The other train was transporting an unknown number of luxury brand vehicles, including at least 20 Porsche 997s.

Tesla Roadster crashed in France

Tesla Roadster Crash France

We took quite a few cars for test drives and we had a lot of fun doing that. However, sometimes test drives go wrong and there’s no fun in that. After some time ago we saw a Dutch journalist wrecking an Audi R8, this time we have a Tesla Roadster crashed by one of their own. Apparently, a Tesla sales director took a passenger for a demonstration in southern France last Wednesday, when he lost control of the car and crashed it. Beside the fact that the car was going around 100 mph (160km/h), the road was also wet and the visibility was poor. Though the car looks pretty banged up, both passengers survived: the driver suffered a broken hand an minor bruises, while the passenger was released from hospital after some investigations.

Audi R8 driver loses control, crashes the car

Oh my God, not another one! I can’t even remember how many crashed Audi R8’s we had over here. We’ve seen them crashed in Russia, in Portugal, in Germany, we’ve seen them burning or swimming, even famous soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo had some problems with his. Now, Russia strikes again and makes another Audi R8 victim. This time, the crash was caught on tape by street cameras and we see the driver losing control and smashing into the guard rail. The good part is that it doesn’t look very serious, so the driver’s probably ok.

It turns out that being a highway patrol officer is not the safest job in the world. We’ve seen a lot of videos where cops get shot at, insulted and God knows what other stuff. This video shows an officer which, while pulling over a truck, proves to have some amazing reflexes and jump a out of the way a driver that lost control of his car. Pretty amazing stuff!

Crashed Nissan GT-R for sale

Wrecked Nissan GT-R

Looks like they’re dropping like flies all over the world: first Hong Kong, then Malaysia, Isle of Man and the United States and now again the US. We have no idea why this Nissan GT-R looks like this or what happened at the auction that took place yesterday, but one thing’s for sure. This brand new GT-R (349 miles on the odometer) is almost destroyed and it was available at an auction yard in Nashville. The vehicle cost 87,000 and damage is estimated at around $55,000, so don’t think this is going to be a bargain for the auction winner. If you ask me, there are two reasons why someone would pay for a totalled GT-R: either you didn’t get the chance to place your order for a new one, either you’re having some evil thoughts regarding that lovely 480 hp engine, which looks ok.

James Bond’s wrecked Aston Martin DBS bought for $350,000

Aston Martin DBS James Bond Crash

Back in April, the £134,000 ($233,000) Aston Martin DBS used for filming the most recent James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, plunged into Lake Garda, in Italy, when Fraser Dunn, an Aston Martin technician who was driving the car to the set lost control, piled thorugh an iron railing and plunged into the lake. As you can see in the photos, the car was completely destroyed, but the driver got away with only minor injuries. Considering all that, you might say that this was a $233k hole in the movie’s budget. But, thanks to eccentric collectors, that wasn’t the case. Because last week Daniel Craig, the movie’s star, announced that a private collector paid £200,000 (approx. $350,000) for the wreck. So not only didn’t MGM lose any money on the car, but it also made a nice profit.

And here’s a video made right after the crash, which shows the car completely wrecked.

Jeremy Clarkson injured in car crash

According to The Mirror, Jeremy Clarkson was recently invovled in a car crash, during filming for the latest Top Gear series. There aren’t many details available, but it looks like the head-on high-speed car crash left Jeremy with minor injuries to his legs, hand and back. After his first serious crash in 31 years, he said: “My right index finger looked like a burst sausage, my left shin was fatter than my thigh and my back felt like someone had driven over it with a pile-driver.” The Top Gear team is not at its first serious crash, with Richard Hammond being involved in a 315 mph crash, that almost killed him, in 2006. However, we’re glad Jeremy’s ok and he’d better get his ass back to work, because we’re really anxious to watch the new series.

Video: Tragic crash on a highway in Italy

Though this happened back in August, we’ve only recently stumbled across this video, which shows a shocking crash that happened on a highway in Italy, close to Venice, and which was caught by traffic surveillance cameras. Apparently, the truck driver suffered a heart attack or fell asleep and the truck lost control, broke the safety barrier and hit a few vehicles running on the opposite lanes. Seven people lost their lives in this terrible crash. I got the goose bumps while watching this video, which is another proof that the car world, which we all love so much, has a ‘dark’ side too.

Heartbreaking: Bugatti Veyron taken plowing on a field

Bugatti Veyron Crash

Exotic crashes seem to happen more and more, it’s early autumn and people still want to push their powerful cars to their limit, such was the case with this Bugatti Veyron, which was crashed by his owner on a nearby field in the West Berkshire region in Great Britain. The pictures are really painful to look at, especially for us car lovers, the one million euro car, effectively plowing the field, like a tractor, with wood in its hood and headlamps. No word on the condition of the driver, but since the accident wasn’t so bad, we don’t think he’s badly injured. Unfortunately, we can’t say the same about the car, which is definitely in a bad state, check it out in these pictures. Read More: "Heartbreaking: Bugatti Veyron taken plowing on a field"

Nissan GT-R US Crash

Geez, the Nissan GT-R is not event out on the market yet and they’re already starting to drop like flies. After we’ve seen GT-R’s crashed in Malaysia and by the TopGear folks, now another one showed up, this time in the United States (if we remember correctly, this might be the first US crash). We’re not sure what happened, but the folks from MyGTR say something about a guy crashing it into a pizza parlor. It really doesn’t matter what happened, what’s for sure is that the car (love that red color) is pretty damaged. More photos after the jump. Read More: "Nissan GT-R wrecked in the US"

Reckless driver dies in Lamborghini Murcielago crash

What you see in the video below is what’s left of a beautiful green Lamborghini Murcielago. The crash took place Woodland Hills, Los Angeles’ district. The 30 year old driver, whose identity hasn’t been revealed, was seen speeding west on the Ventura Freeway west of Topanga Canyon Boulevard just before the incident when he lost control of the car, hit a guardrail on the 101 freeway and crashed into a parking structure. The car burst into flames and the driver suffered severe burns and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident is not yet known, but it really doesn’t matter, a man lost his life. This should be another warning for everyone that drives a high performance car, no matter what brand or how much it costs. Always think twice before hitting the gas pedal!

Toyota Premio Truck Crash Russia

Pictured here we have a Russian KamAZ truck and a Toyota Premio (well…uhm…what once was a Toyota Premio. The crash took place in the Russian city Irkutsk and was caused by the truck driver running a red light. After the truck hit the Premio, it dragged it for about 30 meters (100 ft) until it hit a building. Though almost nothing’s left of the Toyota, the woman driving the car was really lucky and she amazingly survived. More photos after the jump. Read More: "Toyota Premio smashed by truck in Russia"
