New 2009 Acura TL

Last month, an official teaser photo of the new 2009 Acura TL was released and now we finally have the official full press release. The fourth generation TL received a new styling that includes new signature front grille, sweeping C-pillars, new LED taillights, HID projector-beam front headlights, pronounced wheel arches, standard power moonroof and genuine stainless-steel body trim.

The new 2009 Acura TL will be available in two versions, TL and TL SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive). The TL is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 280 hp and 254 lb-ft of torque mated to a Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel- mounted paddle shifters and Grade Logic Control. The TL SH-AWD is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 engine that develops 305 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque and meets California’s CARB LEV II ULEV emissions certification. Estimated fuel economy is 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway for the TL version and 17/24 mpg for the TL SH-AWD.

The 2009 Acura TL is assembled in Marysville, Ohio and is covered by a 4-year/50,000 mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty and a 6-year/70,000 mile powertrain limited warranty. Read full details in the official press release.

2009 Acura TL Sedan

Today, Accura released this photo of the upcoming 2009 Acura TL sedan. Available starting this fall, the TL will be the most powerful car Acura has ever produced, whatever that means, because Acura hasn’t released any further details on the car. Except that it will feature Super Handling All-Wheel Drive(SH-AWD). The guys over at Autoblog think that the car will probably be powered by the 300 hp 3.7 liter engine which currently powers the RL and the MDX.

That’s about all we’ve got so far, but stay tuned cause we’ll let you know once we get more info.
